PLAYOFF POSTGAME - GAME #4
Well, well, well. Just when you worry it may be coming to an end, the DRAGONS pull a huge win out of their hats; or should I say helmets!

The one thing the DRAGONS have not been able to do so far this series is score the first goal in any of the previous 3 games. Well, the tables turned today. After a serious heart-to-heart in the dressing room and some of the teams favourite tunes cranked, the DRAGONS entered the ice with absolute determination.

Their warm up was good and the smiles were even better. The puck dropped and play began. As anticipated, the play was tight but predominantly took place in the Cougar's end. Even though the DRAGONS had most of the possession, there were no goals early in the period. Mainly because of the fantastic Cougar goalie. Nearing the end of the first period, the coaches and fans presumed it would be a scoreless period until........ Jacob and Matthew M. both score top shelf blasters in the span of 90 seconds! In between theses two goals, the Cougars score one of their own and this will be their only goal. Only seconds after Jacob's goal, the buzzer rings loudly through the arena and on we head into the second period.

In the second, the DRAGONS opened their jaws and breathed a blast of fire. The heat was on and the Cougars were feeling it. The DRAGONS had many attempts but only 2 goals sailed past the Cougar goalie. Both goals were, again, top cheese and both were scored by our very own, #2, Mike Walsh.

In the third period we saw some fantastic hockey, fantastic effort and some even more fantastic cheering by the fans. There were no goals to be had in the third and the DRAGONS took home the  4-1 victory.

After 4 games, the series is now tied at 4-4. We could not have asked for two teams that were more perfectly matched; 2 ties each and 1 win each! WOW

Next game is in Komoka on Monday, February 23rd! For now, we just wait.
