A SKINNY BENCH STILL PUTS OUT THE FLAMES!!!
The DRAGONS faced the Aylmer Flames for the second time this season and, again, were able to extinguish the fire!

The puck dropped for the first time this game and the DRAGONS were the first ones out of the gates. Most of the game was spent in the Flames' end with the DRAGONS pouring the heat on Aylmer's goalie. It was a high scoring game and would have been much higher if not for the highly skilled Aylmer goalie who pulled the moves of a future OHL candidate.
The first period gave the fans 3 goals; the second 4 goals and the third 3! The DRAGONS #15 Jacob Delaney was on the mark  this game, with a hat trick and 4 beautiful assists for a total of 7 points this game. #2, Mike Walsh and #11, Ian Fisher also scored goals this period. Every single player on the team, including the defensemen, took some spectacular shots on net but all were saved by the Flames' goalie.
It was a Top Cheese theme in the second! All four goals were, you guessed it, top cheese. I think the kids realized that this is what needed to be done to actually get a shot past this goalie. Goals were by #9 Matthew M, #10 "Wild" Wade, #15 Jacob and #11 Ian. Assists by Jacob (times 2) and Fisher.
The shots didn't stop in the third but as we saw in the first two periods, very few of them actually went in. Only 70 seconds into this period, Matthew M. gets his second of the game assisted by, yes, Jacob! Not long after that we see a complete reversal and Jacob nets his third of the game; this time assisted by Matthew M; what goes around comes around! Last goal of the game is brilliantly scored by Fisher after a perfectly practiced pass by Mega Mike Walsh! DRAGONS take the win in a 10-1 in an extremely exciting game.
Funny thing about this weekend it that it is full of AYLMER!!!! Tomorrow we head into a one day tournament hosted by Aylmer! Wish us luck! I'll keep you posted.
