Bonds/Volunteers (Dorchester Minor Hockey)

PrintBonds/Volunteers
Dear Volunteers,

First I want to thank you for committing your time to such a worth while organization.  Children and parents alike benefit from Dorchester Minor Hockey, and so does our community.

The formula for a successful organization like DMHA lies in its volunteers.  Volunteering provides opportunities for personal achievement, allows you to make new discoveries about yourselves and others around you.  It enables you to form social bonds with a diverse cross section of our society, which in turn strengthens our community.  Volunteering is hard work, it takes time and commitment, but I can guarantee that it will leave you feeling energized and excited about what you have accomplished.  If you put your heart into it, you will have a lot of fun and when completed, you will feel much better than you did when you started!  Mostly, you will be part of something that is bigger than yourself.  This is the true value of volunteering.

Your efforts do not go unnoticed by Dorchester Minor Hockey, and if we have not said it before:

WE THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS/BOND HOURS

Parents are responsible to volunteer 4 hours per child or 8 hours for 2 or more children.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: Instructions for volunteer positions:

You must come to the website periodically to sign up for events.  Events will be posted as they become available. Please do not assume that you will be called for an event once you have signed this volunteer form.
Once you have filled out the form for an event you MAY or MAY NOT be contacted to work the event, this will depend on the number of volunteers that are required for the event, the number of people who have signed up for the event, and where you are on the list.  If you are NOT contacted to work the event you have signed up for, PLEASE NOTE that you MUST come back to the website and sign up for a different event.  PLEASE DO NOT fill out the volunteer form more than ONCE for an event. This does not increase your chances of being selected.

Volunteer positions for the 2017-2018 season will be made available starting in August 2017.  Updates will be posted to the website as they become available.
