This season, the OMHA mandated that BB tryouts could not begin until September 24th (U13 and above) and September 27th (U11 and below). With our season ending early last year, and the delay of tryouts and subsequent hockey activities, we have set aside some ice that we have designated as "Prep Skates" for each age division (currently U9 to U18, with U7 and U8 scheduling to come).
OMHA has also mandated that, at the U11 division and below, skaters are required to have a minimum of 4 non-tryout/non-evaluation (optional) skates prior to any tryout or evaluation.
These Prep Skates are optional. The skates will be run by our Head Coaches with some assistance with other DMHA officials. They are intended to allow skaters some time to get back on the ice and shake some of the rust off, as well as to prepare for BB (U11-U18) and AE (U9-U18) tryouts (if participating). Both skaters and goalies are invited.
Parents will have received an email with the schedule and specific information about attending these skates. If you did not receive the email, please make sure to check your junk mail/spam filter or reach out to Jen Coghlin. The Prep Skate schedule can be viewed on the DMHA Organization Calendar or by clicking a specific group in the 'Team Sites' section of the DMHA website (left-hand menu).
If your DMHA skater would like to attend, there is no pre-registration required. They can simply show up to any or all of the skates for their designated group.
Please review your email for details regarding group and dressing rooms assignments.
