Valdez shines as Dorchester edges Belmont
Dorchester beat Belmont 2 in a very gritty game by a score of 3-2. Brandon Fisher and John Seliga each scored a goal and an assist for Dorchester. Bryce Engberts opened the scoring in the game, converting on a scramble around the Belmont net after McKenzie McDermid, Carter Scott and Chris Gubbels all had whacks at the puck. Belmont tied it before the end of the first, then in the dying seconds of the second period, Jonathon Seliga fired a bullet pass from his own zone to Brandon Fisher at the Belmont line. Fisher went in and deked the goalie out of the net and deposit the puck. Belmont tied it again with 9 minutes to go but Seliga converted a rebound of Fisher's shot for the game winning goal.
