2022-2023 Start Up Details
As we approach the start up for our U13 and under age groups, we wanted to send another reminder.

All scheduled ice times can be viewed on our organization calendar: here. It is best to use this calendar until teams are selected. Once teams are selected, details will be sent on how you can subscribe to your team’s calendar.

The prep skates shown for U13, U11, U9 and U7 are open to all registered players. There are four skates per age group and these are optional; no evaluation takes place during these skates. These skates are listed on the calendar in two different time slots based on the first letter of your last name. Please make sure you attend the correct session to accommodate numbers on the ice.

After the four prep skates, the U13, U11 and U9 age groups have try outs for the rep teams. There are two rep teams at each age group: B and C (U9 is classified as MD 1 and MD 2). The DMHA top Representative (Rep) or competitive team is our B team/U9 is MD 1.  For any DMHA B team, the most competitive players (as determined by the appointed Head Coach and supporting individuals) are selected to its roster. The C team is the DMHA second tier Rep team/U9 is MD2.

All registered players who wish to try out for a representative team, and who pay the prescribed tryout fee, shall be entitled to attend a minimum of three (3) tryout skates with the top representative (B/MD 1) team before being eligible to be released from that team. A player need not try out for the B/MD1 team in order to try out for the C/MD2 team, but players are only entitled to a minimum of one (1) C/MD2 tryout skate before being eligible to be released from that team.

Players who do not take part in the rep team try outs or who are are released from both the B and C teams will then take part in the house league evaluation skates. These can be found on the organization calendar.

U7 (2016) has evaluation skates following the prep skates in order to sort the players into two teams.

U5(2018) and U6(2017) start on September 24th as shown on the calendar.
