Atom BB, U11 LL1, 2017-2018 (Dorchester Minor Hockey Association)

The Atom BB Dragons were Atom A finalists at the International Silver Stick Tournament in Sarnia, January 12-14. The team went undefeated in the first five games of the tournament, before losing out to the Omaha Jr. Lancers in the final. The boys left it all on the ice, making their families and coaches incredibly proud.

With outstanding performances between the posts by both goalies, and a 'never give up' attitude and lots of passing out front, the Atom BB Dragons are Atom A 2017-2018 Regional Silver Stick Champions! The final game was a nail-biter that saw the Dragons fight back from a 2-1 deficit with less than 5 minutes remaining to defeat the Sarnia Jr. Sting 3-2. Tie 1-1 v. Strathroy Loss 4-0 v. Mt. Brydges Win 5-1 v. Sarnia Win 1-0 v. Strathroy (semi-final) Win 3-2 v. Sarnia (final) Well done boys - now off to International Silver Stick in Sarnia, Jan. 12-14!

The Atom BB Dragons went undefeated in round robin play of the Strathroy Olympics (Oct. 26-29, 2017), eventually bringing home silver after thrilling fans in a nail-biter final (double OT!). The Atom BB Dragons had a strong showing at the Stratford Jr. Warriors Weekend Early Bird Tournament (Sept. 29-Oct. 1, 2017), proving they could punch above their weight in the Atom A Division: Tie 2-2 v. Woodstock Win 5-1 v. Nickel City Tie 2-2 v. Stratford Win 7-0 v. Woodstock - Semi-finals Loss 4-0 v. Stratford - Finals Considering all teams were Major A/AA, and that the Stratford squad were Minor Atom AA Alliance Champs last season, the Dragons did exceptionally well, and the coaches and parents couldn't be prouder!
