FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS
As the parents car batteries, coil packs and spark plugs were failing all over Dorchester, the FLYERS batteries were charging. There were no weak spots on the team today!

Missing defenseman Carson Thomas and right winger Rowan Walsh, the FLYERS put on quite the show for the fans. Both teams came in determined and every FLYER stayed this way the entire game. Not often do you get to see a game where EVERY player has their A game, but today we did, and what a treat it was.

Molly Reintjes hustled her buns off and moved the puck up ice; Joel Hoornick played his best game yet and won most face offs as centre; Camryn Ryall went head to head on a tyke select player all game and came out the victor most encounters; Sam Willsie skated like the wind and got himself a hat-trick; Holly Brulotte worked the boards and dominated the corners; Alex Dutton stopped shot after shot after shot; Bryce Steinmann supported his forwards and came out with two goals of his own; Cayden Murphy worked the crowd at every opportunity and kept the puck in the offensive zone over and over; Grayson Doherty carried the puck by cutting up the boards on the outside and finding the net twice; Owen Gray rocked our defensive zone and joined his teammate with his own awesome hat-trick.
Scoring no less than 3 goals per period, the FLYERS netted themselves enough goals to last themselves a few games. The excitement of the fans was very apparent today as the cheering started even before the puck dropped. The first period was like watching a ping pong match; constant back and forth play for the whole period. When it came to goals this period, Slick Sam dominated the net and scored all the goals he is allowed in a game within a 7 minute span of pure hockey insanity. From then on it was up to Sam to pass. Grayson found Bryce wide open and made the pass. Bryce picked up the puck with no hesitation and netted himself his 6th goal of the season and his first of this game. Alex took 8 shots this period and with sheer talent managed to save all but one. That would be all the scoring Alex was going to tolerate for the rest of this period, and the second, and for most of the third because he clamped down and shut the door to all pucks who tried to enter.
The second period was just as exciting as the first. The FLYERS’ parents smiling and being the fanatics they are, brought out the noise makers and cheered for all players on the ice. On his way to yet another hat trick this season, Awesome Owen scored two killer goals in a row. Owen’s hat-trick will happen but not until Molly interrupts the flow and buries a one timer on the left after Camryn smartly fires the puck to the net. It was only 30 seconds later that Owen gets his third and final goal of the game. Just like Sam, it’s now up to Owen to do some passing as well.
Mixing it up a bit, keeping the fans on their toes and their aged minds sharp, the third and final period gave us goals from two different FLYERS rather than the hat-tricks we had become accustomed to. Just after the face off that started the third, Brilliant Bryce picks up an errant pass by the Rockets and finds the back of the net with ease. At 5:40 in the third, Sam makes an incredible defensive play and gets the puck to Camryn. Cami carries the puck into the offensive zone and fires a wrist shot and beats the goalie high.

Every game we see more skill, more improvement and more intensity from these wee Tykes and look forward to what will come every game. You rock FLYERS!!!!!
