BUCKETS OF WATER!
After this game, we needed 11 buckets of water to put out these FLYERS because they were on FIRE!

After hearing about this unstoppable team, parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, brothers, sisters and I think a few strays off the street came to watch as these kids, again, show how much they love this game.

The intensity and the rush of last weeks tournament had obviously not worn off today . The FLYERS
(13-1-3) played with heart and determination as we faced the Dorchester Jets; the 4th time meeting them this season. The cheering from the stands showed that the fans had also not yet lost last weekend’s tournament enthusiasm.
The first period started out fast and furious with all players giving it their all right off the hop. It was as if the teams were testing the water; trying to figure out their strategy for the game. There was high energy but low scoring until the last 5 minutes of play. Defenseman, #11 Carson, got the puck near our blue line and, after going coast to coast, opened the scoring by blasting it right by the goalie. Next in in line was Mighty Molly who was hanging in the slot. Molly takes a pass from Camryn and lights up the lamp by going 5 hole on the goalie. Only seconds later, Slick Sam skates in a lays one between the pipes with only a flick of his wrist. Only 2 minutes and 30 seconds left in the game, and Mighty Molly strikes again. Cayden the Crowd Worker drops the puck, Molly picks it up and sneaks it elegantly between the post and the goalies left skate. Bryce took a few shots this period but, because of his pre-game driveway practice, saved them all with his awesome goalie moves. This ends the action for this period.
With 4 goals in the first, the FLYERS net 3 goals in the second. The game is 4-0 but we know the Jets are a great team and this 4 goal lead could change at any time. Mid-period, Joel picks up the puck on the boards and gets it up to Camryn who breaks into the zone and fires a shot mid-shelf past the goalie. Molly has a chance at a hat trick this period but her shot strikes the post with a very audible DING! Owen gets his own goal only seconds later after Rowan covers the defensive zone and makes it safe for Owen to leave. Owen moves through the players and lifts the puck so that it just clears the cross bar. Sam gets another this period, his second of the game.
Four goals in the first, 3 in the second; who can guess how many in the third? That’s right, 2! Sam and Carson both get great goals this period. Grayson makes a perfect pass right on Sam’s stick. Sam carries it forward and gets his third goal of this game. This is one of many hat tricks Sam has made this season. Holly is able to come off the boards and out of the pack with the puck, which is picked up by Owen and he buries the blue beast in the net.
Another very exciting game played by the FLYERS today! Way to work hard, team! A big thank you to those on the bench; great job.
