Welcome to the Midget AE Tryouts
My name is Michael Wease and I will be the
head coach of the Midget AE team this year.
I would like to welcome all players to this year’s Midget AE
tryouts. I hope everyone had a great
summer.
Our tryouts will commence on
September 12, 2019 at 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm at Dorchester Arena APC South.
Please check the website for other tryout
dates.
I truly hope to see a lot of candidates at tryouts in mid-September.
I strongly encourage those who are uncertain or “on the fence” to at least attend the tryout process. This will allow you to gauge your interest and ability / potential to earn a roster spot, and perhaps develop and even excel at this level of hockey.
Players will be assessed during each ice time; this will be done by outside evaluators and me. There will be no cuts made until completion of the second ice time.
A travel team requires a high level of commitment for both practices and games.
I will be looking for players with:
a) Hockey Skills (skating, puck skills, shooting, passing , positional awareness, decision making and speed)
b) Athleticism (quickness, agility, strength and awareness/instincts)
c) Character
d) Positive Attitude and behaviour
e) Players willing to improve their skills
Please ensure you bring your own water bottle.
Check your equipment before arriving at rink.
Bring the Rowan’s law form signed.
If you have not paid for the tryout fee please bring a cheque or cash ($80).
Arrive 30 minutes before tryout time to be assigned a jersey number.
