Mooretown Champs!!!
Our Dragons
played in their first tournament of the year in Mooretown.
The other
teams were fearing the Dragons as we showed our hockey skills that saw us go 3-0 in the round robin.
Even the schedule makers tried to throw us off our game by adding an early Sunday morning game but we still came out firing on all cylinders winning 10-0 to advance to the finals. Thanks to our parents for getting up bright and early to make the trek back to Mooretown.
Our confidence was soaring heading into the finals against Mt. Brydges but they would give us a run for our money as they jumped out to a 1-0 lead putting us in a position we have not faced this year. But our Dragons would show what we are made of and kept skating, passing and shooting as we controlled the play. Two unanswered goals would be all we needed as we skated to a heart stopping 2-1 win and take the GOLD!
We are very proud of our Dragons as they showed a lot of determination and teamwork throughout the weekend. Great job by all!!!!
