U5 Program – Skater and Parent

  • 2016-born students
  •  All skaters must have a parent present on the ice with them
  • One hour of ice time per week
  • 12 skaters + 12 parents
  • 1 jersey color
  • lead by Mike Cormier
  • No additional On-Ice Helpers needed
  • All parents must be certified as On-Ice Helpers
  • Minimum of 2 (on-ice) parents certified as Trainers
  • 1 U5 Group Coordinator (responsible for COVID-19 protocols)

U6 Program

  • 2015-born students
  • 2 hours of ice time per week
  • approx. 20 skaters
  • 2 jersey colors 
  • Lead by Mike Cormier and Rob Bruschetto
  • Maximum 3 certified On-Ice Helpers
  • Minimum 2 On-Ice Helpers certified as Trainers
  • 1 U6 Group Coordinator (responsible for COVID-19 protocols)

U7 Program

  • 2014-born skaters
  •  2 hours of ice time per week
  • approx. 35 skaters
  • 4 jersey colors 
  • Lead by 4 Coaches Shane Clark, Chris Cornish, Jason Grieve, Lance Scott
  • Minimum 4 additional On-Ice Helpers/Coaches certified as Trainers (if lead coaches are not certified)
  • 2-4 U7 Group Coordinators/Managers (responsible for COVID-19 protocols)

U8 Program

  • 2013-born skaters
  •  2 hours of ice time per week
  • approx. 20 skaters
  • 2 jersey colors
  • Lead by Coach Andrew Elliott
  • Minimum 1 additional On-Ice Helper/Coach certified as Trainer (if lead coach is not certified)
  • 1 U8 Group Coordinator/Manager (responsible for COVID-19 protocols)

U9 Program

  • 2012-born skaters
  •  2 hours of ice time per week
  • approx. 35 skaters (2 groups)
  • Groups tiered based on ability
  •  2 jersey colors 
  • Lead by Coaches Jamie Sweetland and Brandon Haasen
  • Minimum 2 additional On-Ice Helpers/Coaches certified as Trainers (if lead coaches are not certified)
  •  2 U9 Group Coordinators/Managers (responsible for COVID-19 protocols)

U11 Program

  • 2010 and 2011-born skaters
  •  2 hours of ice time per week
  • approx. 55 skaters (3 groups)
  • Groups tiered based on ability
  • Lead by Coaches Marc Purdy, Matt jansel and [vacant position]
  • Minimum 3 additional On-Ice Helpers/Coaches certified as Trainers (if lead coaches are not certified)
  • 3 U11 Group Coordinators/Managers (responsible for COVID-19 protocols)

U13 Program

  • 2008 and 2009-born skaters
  • 2 hours of ice time per weeks
  • approx. 75 skaters (4 groups)
  • Group A and Group B tiered based on ability, Group C and Group D divided evenly
  • Lead by Coaches Ben Van De Peer, Troy Glover, Brian Geerts and [vacant position]
  • Minimum 4 additional On-Ice Helpers/Coaches certified as Trainers (if lead coaches are not certified)
  • 4 U13 Group Coordinators/Managers (responsible for COVID-19 protocols)

U15 Program

  • 2006 and 2007-born skaters
  • 2.5 hours of ice time per weeks
  • approx. 60 skaters (3 groups)
  • Groups tiered based on birth year (Group A – 2006, Group B – 2007, Group C – 2006/2007)
  • Lead by Coaches Bob Leeming, Jim Humphries and Jeff Healey
  • Minimum 3 additional On-Ice Helpers/Coaches certified as Trainers (if lead coaches are not certified)
  • 3 U15 Group Coordinators/Managers (responsible for COVID-19 protocols)

U18 Program

  • 2003, 2004 and 2005-born skaters
  •  2.5 hours of ice time per weeks
  • approx. 60 skaters (3 groups)
  • Groups tiered based on ability
  • Lead by Coaches Mike Gibson, Michael Wease and Calvin Harvie)
  • Minimum 3 additional On-Ice Helpers/Coaches certified as Trainers (if lead coaches are not certified)
  • 3 U18 Group Coordinators/Managers (responsible for COVID-19 protocols)
